Soccer Physical Performance

Football is a repeated-sprint sport played for ninety minutes, and the physical qualities that decide both performance and injury risk are specific to it: top-end sprint speed, the ability to repeat high-intensity efforts with short recovery, deceleration and change of direction, and enough eccentric hamstring strength to survive the sprint.

Work here is built around those qualities rather than general fitness. Luke currently works as physiotherapist to TS Galaxy FC in the Premier Soccer League, and the testing and programming standards used in that environment translate directly to club and school players.

Programmes typically cover sprint mechanics and acceleration, repeated-effort conditioning matched to position, deceleration and cutting mechanics, eccentric hamstring and adductor strength, and the gym work that supports all of it. Progression is driven by retesting rather than by weeks elapsed.

Not sure this is what you need? The first appointment is an assessment. You will get an accurate diagnosis and an honest plan, even if that plan is a referral elsewhere. Call 076 174 9656 or book online.
