Golf Physiotherapy & Swing-Related Injury Treatment

Low back pain, golfer's elbow and the rotation the swing demands.

The golf swing asks for rotation through the thoracic spine and hips while the lumbar spine stays relatively stable. When thoracic or hip rotation is restricted, the lower back makes up the difference, and that is where golfers present.

Medial elbow pain, wrist problems and shoulder irritation follow the same logic: the symptom appears where the load lands, not where the restriction sits. Assessment looks at rotational range, hip mobility and the sequence of the swing rather than the painful joint in isolation.
