Cycling Injury Physiotherapy & Bike-Fit Related Pain
Knee pain, low back pain and Achilles problems driven by position on the bike.
Cyclists spend hours in a fixed, aerodynamically compromised position, and most cycling complaints trace back to that position rather than to a single incident. Anterior knee pain from saddle height, low back pain from excessive handlebar drop, neck and shoulder tension, and Achilles problems rooted in cleat position and ankle mechanics on the pedal stroke.
Because the cause is positional and repetitive, treatment that does not address the position does not hold. Assessment covers the rider on the bike as well as off it.
